A Big September for Ferguson Whisky
It’s been a busy month for Ferguson Whisky, with some exciting recognition at the Scottish Whisky Awards 2026 and an international golf event bringing a little extra attention to Ayrshire this weekend.
Earlier this month, the finalists for the Scottish Whisky Awards 2026 were announced, and we were delighted to find Ferguson Whisky named as a finalist in four categories.

We’re incredibly proud to be recognised across four very different categories:
Independent Bottler — Ferguson Whisky
Recognition of Ferguson Whisky as an independent bottler and the work we do sourcing, selecting and presenting exceptional Scotch whisky.
Excellence in Branding — Ferguson Whisky
A finalist position that recognises the Ferguson Whisky brand and the work that has gone into creating and developing our identity within the world of Scotch whisky.
Single Malt Scotch Aged 17–20 Years — Ferguson Whisky Lochindaal 18
Recognition for Lochindaal 18 Year Old, one of our releases that we’re particularly proud of.
Product Launch of the Year — Lochindaal 18 Year Old / Ferguson Whisky
A second finalist position for Lochindaal 18, recognising the launch of the whisky itself.
To have the business, the brand and one of our whiskies recognised across four categories is a fantastic achievement for the whole team.
And for Lochindaal 18, being shortlisted in two categories makes this recognition particularly special.
The winners will be announced at the Scottish Whisky Awards ceremony on 26 November 2026 at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow — so there’s still plenty to look forward to.
This weekend, it's all about Ayrshire Links
While the Scottish Whisky Awards announcement came earlier this month, this weekend the focus turns firmly to golf.
The inaugural Ayrshire Links Invitational 2026 brings six international golf clubs together for a four-day competition across some of Ayrshire’s most celebrated links.
The participating clubs are Dallas National Golf Club, Plainfield Country Club, The Olympic Club, The Country Club, The Onwentsia Club and Loch Lomond Golf Club.
With rounds taking place across courses including Turnberry, Royal Troon, Western Gailes, Glasgow Gailes and Dundonald Links, it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase Ayrshire to an international audience.
Where golf meets whisky — Links & Cask
It’s also a natural fit for Links & Cask, our joint venture with Lomond Golf Tours, bringing together two of Scotland’s great passions: golf and whisky.
Through Links & Cask, guests can experience bespoke golf and whisky journeys, including distillery visits, tastings and whisky experiences.
So, while the Scottish Whisky Awards have already given us plenty to celebrate this month, this weekend belongs to the golf — and we’re delighted to see Ayrshire taking centre stage.
With four Scottish Whisky Awards finalist positions, Lochindaal 18 recognised in two categories, and an international golf event taking place on our doorstep, it’s certainly an exciting time for Ferguson Whisky.
