A LOST DISTILLERY  DEC 1990 - NOV 2024

First & Last:
A Speyside Legacy
(1990–2024)

Rare access to the inaugural and final casks from one of Speyside’s silent stills.

1990 Speyside Cask No. 007

A truly remarkable piece of Speyside history. Distilled in the distillery’s inaugural month of operation—December 1990—this cask is one of only 27 ever produced that year. The fact that Cask No. 007 still exists and is available for purchase is nothing short of astonishing. A genuine collector’s treasure from a now-lost distillery, this cask represents the birth of Speyside’s craftsmanship and the enduring legacy of its rarest spirit. Price: POA

2010 SPEYSIDE Port STR (Dr. Jim Swan Influence)

A unique cask steeped in innovation. Around a decade ago, the legendary Dr. Jim Swan worked with Speyside Distillery, pioneering the STR (Shave, Toast, Rechar) process—originally used with red wine casks. This particular example, however, applies the same groundbreaking technique to Port casks, creating a whisky of exceptional depth and sweetness. With 11 of its 15 years spent in Port STR wood, this could very well be one of the oldest Port STR casks in existence—a fitting tribute to Dr. Swan’s genius. Price: £11,000

SPEYSIDE 2024 BARREL.

- LOST DISTILLERY -

  • Speyside Distillery - Rich and deep amber in colour. The aroma is floral with fruit and a touch of vanilla. Flavours of dried fruits with a soft nutty and long creamy finish. Mellow cinnamon and sweet oak with a gentle and rounded aftertaste. A very approachable and satisfying malt whisky with bags of character.
